After School Program and Summer School
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
The Sisulu-Walker Charter School of Harlem offers an academic After School Program is five days a week from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This extra time can be used to reinforce the academic learning that occurs earlier in the day by providing additional instruction in the areas of literacy and mathematics. The time may also be used to provide remedial education services to those students who require additional help. Lessons include social studies, the humanities, science and the writing process as an integral part of the program.
SUMMER SCHOOL
The Sisulu-Walker Charter School of Harlem no longer offers a summer school program.
SATURDAY SCHOOL
The Sisulu-Walker Charter School of Harlem offers additional support on Saturdays for students in grades 3 - 5. Students are selected for the program by their classroom teachers. The Saturday program begins in January and ends in May.
